Divis Table by Mike & Maaike for Council

During my internship at Mike & Maaike the Divis table was one of the many exciting projects I worked on. Mike handed me a sketch and explained an idea of what he envisioned. I translated his vision using sketches, mockups, and 3D modeling over the course of my internship.

DIVIS is a solid wood dining table manufactured by Council. Strength, pliability and the natural character of wood are expressed through a structural narrative of planned imperfections.

At ICFF 2009 Council released the Divis table. It won the Metropolis Magazine Editors Choice Award and was a part of Council winning the ICFF Editors Choice Award.
